Ambassador Traina visited Klagenfurt yesterday and presented Governor Peter Kaiser with 12,000 face masks, part of the 500,000 masks donated by the United States to Austria as a token of friendship between the two countries.
In an interview with ORF Carinthia, the Ambassador stated that Austria and Carinthia “have done an excellent job in managing this [COVID 19] crisis.”
When asked about the current demonstrations against racism and police violence, Ambassador Traina emphasized:
“The U.S. and all countries must continue to be extremely vigilant about racism. We must be self-analytical, and we must all think how can we do better.”
