This year’s Marshall Plan Fellows received their certificates on June 6 at Amerika Haus, with U.S. Ambassador Trevor Traina and Dr. Wolfgang Petritsch, Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation, present. The Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation supports academic exchange between students and researchers from Austria and the United States, with the goal to deepen relationships between both countries and foster scientific cooperation. Students and teachers from the Universities of Applied Sciences Krems, Carinthia and St. Pölten participated in the event. Also present were representatives of AFS Intercultural Programs Austria and Berufsschule (vocational school) Eisenstadt as this year for the first time 22 students receiving vocational training will participate in the exchange to learn about work life in the United States.
