The annual Milton Wolf Seminar – a two-day conference for media practitioners, diplomats, academics, and students to share their perspectives, formulate new ideas, and identify areas where further research is needed – took place from April 4-6, 2016 in Vienna. This year’s seminar focused on “The Paris Effect: Journalism, Diplomacy, and Information Controls.”
The Milton Wolf Seminar is jointly organized by the Center for Global Communication Studies (CGCS) at the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School for Communication, the American Austrian Foundation (AAF), and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna (DA). The U.S. Embassy has been a long-standing partner of the seminar, which is named after the former U.S. Ambassador to Austria Milton Wolf. Chargé d’Affaires Eugene Young invited the participants to a reception at his residence.
