Thank you for your demonstration of solidarity with American civil society. The peaceful exercise of free speech is one of our most sacred rights, and something that unites Austria and America. We must be unified in the face of racism and injustice, not just in the United States or Austria, but globally. The United States is not perfect, but we have always stood for freedom of expression and the rights of individual citizens. The American experiment is ongoing, and we are constantly striving to form a more just and perfect society. We value our friendship with Austria and together with the other liberal democracies we must continue to stand in defense of human rights.
