Today’s Voices hosted a screening in honor of Black History Month. Part one of the documentary “Free At Last: Civil Rights Heroes” was shown. This portion of the documentary tells the stories of Medgar Evers and Emmett Till who were central figures during the Civil Rights Movement.
The screening of the film was followed by an intriguing discussion moderated by Information Resources Officer John D’Amicantonio. Topics of discussion included the history of the Civil Rights Movement and current issues concerning racism in the United States and Austria. Participants contributed personal experiences and shared their own perspectives on race-related issues.
