Diplomatic and Official Visas

Please note: The suspension of entry into the United States or the issuance of visas based on the Presidential Executive Order signed on January 27, 2017 does not apply to A and G visa holders and/or applicants.

The Consulate will accept applications for official and diplomatic A and G visas any business day (without scheduling an appointment) between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm.

The applications may be submitted by courier; a personal appearance is not required (except for applicants for A-3 and G-5 visas), provided the applicant is a citizen or resident of Austria or assigned to a foreign mission or international organization in Austria. There are NO visa fees for A and G visa applications, and finger scanning is also not required (except for applicants for A-3 and G-5 visas).

Travelers conducting diplomatic or official business are not eligible for Visa Waiver Program travel.
